Outer MP Alfred Arthur chairs DISHA meeting in Ukhrul

Ukhrul,  Jul 14: Outer Manipur MP Alfred Arthur Kanngam came down heavily after reviewing the implementation status of the centrally sponsored schemes in Ukhrul district during the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting.
The meeting was held at the DRDA Conference Hall of the Mini Secretariat Office, Hamleikhong, Ukhrul.
The meeting was chaired by MP Alfred Arthur Kanngam, who also serves as the chairman of the DISHA committee for the district.
The quarterly DISHA meeting focused on reviewing the status of various centrally sponsored schemes and ensuring better coordination among line departments for efficient implementation.
MP Alfred emphasised the need for collective responsibility among all district level officers (DLOs), urging them to work together as a unified team to deliver services to the grassroot population. He stressed that the primary aim of the meeting was to identify and resolve problems and issues that hinder progress.
Over 98 centrally sponsored schemes under DISHA are currently being implemented in the district to promote grassroots development.
During the review meeting,departments presented progress reports through PowerPoint presentation,  including those from ZEO, PWD, District Health Society, Agriculture, Moped PMJKVY, MSPDCL, PHED, NHIDCL, Forest department, Relief & Disaster Management,  CAF & PD , LDM,  MSRLM,  Handloom & Handicraft, ADC, DRDA , ICDS, DSWO, OSC, UDCRMS and Planning Dept.
The MP Alfred gave a patient hearing to their challenges, and suggested the respective line department's officers to prepare a proper workable work plan mechanism in order to find out the solution of the problems and make the programme successful before the project gets saturation, and further mentioned to present the details of their challenges, feasible and assessment reports in the next DISHA meeting to be held in September.
He further stated that beneficiaries should be given easy access to governance to ensure transparency in the implementation of schemes.
The meeting was attended by MLA Khashim Vashum, Addl SP Ringthing Hongchui, SDOs, SDCs and other officials.
