IMPHAL, Jul 15 : D Rahravio scored thrice and Sushil Tiwari scored two goals to set up the comprehensive 6-0 win for Mt Zion English High School, Senapati against Padma Ratna English
School, Kakching in a group match of the 64th State Level Subroto Mukerjee Football Tournament for U-15 boys.
Rahravio opened the scoring for the Senapati side early in the 7th minute at Chajing Kangjeibung before completing his brace in the 16th minute.
His compatriot Sohan Gurung made it 3-0 the very next minute before Sushil Tiwari scored in the 29th minute to give the team a 4-0 first half lead against their Kakching rivals.
Mt Zion English School kept pressing for more goals despite enjoying a commanding lead and Sushil Tiwari was at it again to make it 5-0 after 45 minutes before D Rahravio rounded off the scoring in the 53rd minute and completed his treble.
Earlier in the day, Mt Zion English HS played out a 1-1 draw with St Paul’s Higher Secondary School while Ramananda High School, Imphal East beat Wangoo Higher Secondary School, Bishnupur 2-1.
In the 16th match of the tournament staged later in the day, Abel Chothe’s stoppage time goal (60+1’) helped St Paul’s Higher Secondary School beat Wangoo Higher Secondary School 1-0.
Porompat Sabal Leikai HS crush Samaritan Public School 5-0 in U-17 Girls’ Tournament
Imphal East’s Porompat Sabal Leikai HS crushed Samaritan Public School, Senapatai by 5-0 goals in the 16th match of the U-17 Girls’ Tournament being underway at Football Turf Langjing.
Zenia (3’, 6’, 19’) scored a treble and Monika (8’) and Asha (14’) contributed a goal apiece in Imphal East school’s 5-0 rout today.
Later in the 18th match, Bisheshori (2’) and Rani (11’) scored to earn Oinam Govt Higher Secondary School of Bishnupur a 2-0 win over Amutombi Divine Life English School, Kakching.
In the 19th match of the tournament, Porompat Sabal Leikai HS extended their winning run by handing Tekcham High School, Thoubal a 14-0 defeat.
Russia (2’, 14’, 27’, 36’) was the highlight of the game as she added 4 goals alone while Alva (7’,9’) and Martina (17’, 28’) added two goals apiece. Joyshini (23’), Priyadashini (29’), Zenia (31’), Ronika (39’) and Asha (40’).
L Nadika of Tekcham HS also conceded an own goal to help the Imphal East side walk away with the huge win.
Later in the 20th match, Khangsillung Higher Secondary School, Noney pulled off a 11-0 win against Samaritan Public School, Senapati.
Nandini (16’, 35’, 60’) and Miraluxmi (17’, 24’, 58’) scored three goals apiece in the Noney side’s big win as Lucy netted twice (13’, 22’) and Narmada (4’), Ringchuila (41’) and Chungkaguanglu (52’) added a goal apiece.
