Man shot, woman thrashed

IMPHAL, Jul 15 : Unknown miscreants shot a man on his right leg and beat a woman at a location between Sawom- bung Kabui Khul and Phak-nung road last night around 10.30.
The man who sustained bullet injuries has been identified as Soram Girish (26), s/o S Loken of Nagamapal Soram Leirak currently staying at Wangkhei.
The woman, on the other hand, has been identified as Kumam Jemelia (25) d/o K Sanjit of Moirang Thana Leikai.
Both individuals were rushed to RIMS hospital following the incident.
The woman has been discharged, while Girish remains hospitalized.
