Plastic bottle banks distributed

ThoubaL, Jul 15: In a concerted effort towards environmental sustainability, Tentha Gram Panchayat in collaboration with the Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, organised an awareness programme and distributed Plastic Bottle Banks to Self Help Groups (SHGs) at Tentha Multiplex.
The initiative held under the theme "Tentha GP Towards a Model GP", was attended Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, programme officer Md Habibullaha; Wangjing Tentha CD Block, DEO Chingkhei; Tentha Gram Panchayat Administrative Committee, chairperson Moirangthem Subol and Tentha Gram Panchayat, secretary S Premananda as presidium members.
During the event, Plastic Bottle Banks were distributed to 17 Self Help Groups (SHGs) of 6 Village Level Federations (VLFs) under MSRLM Thoubal.
The speakers during the event, encouraged the local community to adopt sustainable practices and responsibly manage plastic waste through proper segregation and collection.
The event was also attended by various members of MSRLM, members of Tentha GP, SHG members and officials of Directorate of Environment and Climate Change.
