Nungshithoi, Taibanganbi, Shital strike gold at Asian Juniors Cup

IMPHAL, Jul 16 : Manipuri trio kept the National flag flying high by winning a gold medal apiece today at the Taipei Asian Cadets and Juniors Cup hosted by the Chinese Taipei under the auspices of Judo Union of Asia.
Manipur’s L Nungshithoi (52 kg), Kh Taibanganbi (70 kg) and N Shital Singh (90 kg) all bagged the gold medals in the junior category competitions at the continental event that came to a close today.
Manipur's Khaidem Gunamani was part of the junior National team as a coach.
Earlier yesterday, Yumnam Bipilia (70 kg) and Khuyenthem Monika (63 kg) won a silver medal apiece in the cadet category competitions.
