Call on Governor

IMPHAL, Jul 17 : General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Eastern Command, Lt Gen Ram Chander Tiwari along with GOC Spear Corps Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar and IGAR South Maj Gen Ravroop Singh called on Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Raj Bhavan, Imphal today.
During the meeting, the GOC-in-C briefed the Governor on the preparations and arrangements for the upcoming 134th edition of the Durand Cup 2025, said a statement issued by the Governor's Secretariat.
The officers further briefed the Governor on the prevailing security situation in the State as well as the overall security scenario across the North Eastern region.
Separately, the Governor also chaired the general council meeting of Manipur State Kala Akademi (MSKA).
During the meeting, various agenda items relating to the administration and development of MSKA were discussed, including formation of standing committees and initiatives aimed at promoting art, culture, and literature not only within Manipur but also across India and to international audiences.
