DESAM applauds Judo medallists at Asian and European Cup

IMPHAL, Jul 18 : The Democratic Students’ Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) has expressed pride and commended the five State judokas who shone at the recently concluded Taipei Cadet and Junior Asian Cup 2025 and Chanambam Linthoi who clinched at gold medal at the Berlin Junior European Cup 2025 in June.
Notably, Manipur’s Yumnam Bipilia (70 kg) and Khuyenthem Monika (63 kg) won a silver medal apiece in the cadet category competitions at the continental event hosted by Chinese Taipei while L Nungshithoi (-52 kg) and K Taibanganbi (-70 kg) won a gold medal apiece and N Sheetal (-90 kg) bagged a silver medal in the junior category competitions.
Praising these judokas for making the State proud, DESAM also expressed heartfelt greetings to Linthoi Chanambam who continued her fine form to win a gold medal at the Berlin Junior European Cup which saw a huge participation of around 544 athletes from 34 countries.
