Th Mexi, T Mangaleibi clinch gold at 3rd IE District Level Fencing C’ship

IMPHAL, Jul 19 : Thokchom Mexi of KHFA and T Mangaleibi secured extended their medal hauls in the ongoing 3rd Imphal East District Level Fencing Championship at Fencing Hall, Khuman Lampak Sports Complex.
Mexi Thokchom who had won KHFA a gold medal in the senior men’s sabre competition grabbed a gold medal in the junior category today beating N Saolin of YDO in the final today.
Ng Mangangba of MIIS and K Jeriyul of OLA settled for bronze medals in the junior boys’ sabre event.
In the meantime L Chinglembi of YDO won the junior girls’ epee gold beating G Keniya of Poloi Club in the final as KHFA’s Diviya and N Jazzy settled for the bronze medals.
T Mangaleibi of YDO who also clinched the gold medal in the junior girls’ foil competition, topped yet again in the cadet category competition beating M Merina of OLA in the final. M Geetarani of YDO and H Tonibia of OLA ended up with the bronze medals in this category.
