IMPHAL, Jul 20: DM University Vice Chancellor Prof W Chandbabu has underscored the urgency of GI tagging the musical instruments used in Manipur since ancient times.
Prof Chandbabu was speaking at the closing function of INNOTECH Fest 2025 held at Manipur Science Centre, Takyelpat today.
Winners of different competitions and stalls opened at the festival were awarded prizes at the closing function.
Prof Chandbabu said that it would be a huge loss for Manipur if the musical instruments used in the State since ancient times are not GI tagged before it is too late.
