Found hung to death

IMPHAL, Jul 20: A 57-year old man was found hung to death this afternoon at Iroisemba Hill, Imphal West under Lamphel police station.
The man was found hung to death from a tree at the top of Iroisemba Hill at around noon by some local passers-by and they promptly informed police, said a source.
Soon after, a team of Lamphel police station arrived and inspected the site.
Later, the body was taken down after a team of State Forensic Science experts made an inquest of the dead body and the surrounding area.
Meanwhile, the deceased has been identified as one Chingangbam Hemanta (57) s/o late Bijoy of Lamdeng Mayai Leikai.
The dead body was later handed over to family members after a post mortem at RIMS morgue.
