MPCC delegation meets Maharashtra RS MP

IMPHAL, Jul 21: A Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee team met with Maharashtra MP and National Chairman of AICC Minority Department Imran Pratapgarhi with an appeal to raise important issues prevailing in Manipur at the ongoing monsoon session of the Parliament.
The MPCC delegation met the Rajya Sabha MP at his official residence at 12A Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla Lane (Canning Lane), Kasturva Gandhi in New Delhi today.
The delegation comprised Congress leader and former MLA Amin Shah and MPCC general secretary Md Amir Hussain and Heisnam Meghachandra Mangangcha.
The MPCC team briefed the Rajya Sabha MP on pertinent issues facing Manipur amid the prolonged conflict. He was informed about the blockade on free movement along National Highways, disruptions caused to farmers and farming activities in vulnerable and peripheral regions among others and urged to raise these issues during the ongoing monsoon session of the Parliament.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen Congress party organisation in Muslim constituencies in the State. The delegation also urged Imran Pratapgarhi to visit Manipur soon.
