KSA to host State-level history competition

IMPHAL, Jul 21: Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA) is set to conduct a State level history competition on the theme "Exploring the history of Kangleipak (Manipur)".
Speaking in this connection at KSA office, Thangmeiband Khoyathong, Sanjoy Khullakpam, general secretary, KSA said that the competition will be divided into three categories- Class VII and VIII, Class IX and X and Class XI and XII and held during the last week of August.
He cited lack of knowledge about Manipur history, fabrication and manipulation of historical accounts and publication of such falsehoods in various journals or books as reasons behind organising the history competition.
