Two remanded in police custody

IMPHAL, Jul 22: Two men who were arrested on the charges of alleged sexual assault of a minor girl at Tellou Mayai Leikai have been remanded to police custody till July 25 after they were produced before a Duty Magistrate yesterday by a team of Women Police Station, Imphal East.
The accused persons identified as Kshetrimayum Ajoy (20) s/o (L) Abung of Tellou Mayai Leikai and Mangshatabam Ajoy (21) s/o Gopeshor of Nongada Kameng Khunjao were arrested by police after a case was registered under POCSO Act on July 20.
They were arrested on the charge of allegedly committing sexual assault on a minor girl at Tellou Mayai Leikai, Imphal East under Lamlai police station on July 19 night.
