3 held for aggressive nuisance

IMPHAL, Jul 23 : Three individuals have been convicted by the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal West on the charge of allegedly creating nuisance with aggressive rudeness, disturbing neighbourhood and creating disturbance to CRPF personnel who were on duty at Old Lambulane at around last midnight.
Urikhinbam Inao (47) s/o (L) Modhu of Chura-chandpur Khumujam-ba Leikai, Haobijam Sharat (51) s/o Mangi of Thanga Chingkha and Yumnam Netaji (29) s/o Lashmon of Langmeidong Maning Mayai Leikai were arrested by a team of Imphal police station past midnight and produced before the Court for a summary trial.
An APP for the state submitted that at around 11.30 pm yesterday, Imphal police station received information from the Control room that some persons in inebriated state were creating nuisance at Old Lambulane Lane No 2 under the influence of alcohol.
A team of Imphal police station immediately rushed to the spot and found the three individuals, highly intoxicated and behaving with aggressive rudeness, disturbing the neighbourhood and also creating disturbance to the CRPF personnel who were discharging their duties at Old Lambulane. The three individuals were detained on the spot and taken to Imphal police station.
A police team then took them to Singjamei UPHC for medical examination and the MO concerned opined that all three of them were intoxicated with alcohol.
They were subsequently arrested by observing necessary formalities. The Court, after hearing the submission of the APP, the defence counsel of the accused persons who pleaded guilty for committing the crime and on perusal of the case record convicted the trio and sentenced them till the rising of the Court.
