2nd Premier League FC Raendai thrash SSU 3-0 to consolidate Group C pole position

IMPHAL, Jul 24 : FC Raengdai, Noney consolidated themselves on top of the Group C table in the second round of the 2nd Premier League with a 3-0 thrashing of Southern Sporting Union (SSU) at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong this afternoon.
FC Raengdai found the lead early in the 5th minute through Kamei Langanglung Kabui before Laishram Bikramjit doubled the advantage after 44 minutes and Shoraisham Sagar rounded off the scoring in the 72nd minute.
With the win, FC Raengdai stretched their unbeaten run to five games in the second round and went atop Group table on 13 points.
Earlier in a Group D match, Kshetri Iril Mapal Youth Club (KIYC), Kshetrigao beat Youth Social Welfare Association (YSWA), Utlou 2-1 thanks to a first half brace from Md Zahid Khan (8’, 20’).
The lone goal for the Utlou team was scored by 48’.
