Junior Boys’ NFC Tier I Manipur beat Karnataka 1-0 to finish Group C winners, enter semis

IMPHAL, Jul 24 : Manipur defeated Karnataka 1-0 in a crucial Group C match in the Junior Boys’ National Football Championship for Dr BC Roy Trophy Tier I to finish group winners and qualify for the semi-finals at GNDU Sports Complex in Amritsar, Punjab today.
The lone goal that settled the game was scored by Kh Sultan in the 10th minute.
Manipur had overwhelmed Jharkhand 8-1 in the group opener at the same venue before edging Odisha 2-1 in the second match at Sahibzada Fateh Singh Football Stadium.
Manipur will meet Delhi in the semi-final match on July 28.
