Pambei led UNLF mourns

IMPHAL, Jul 24 : The Pambei led UNLF has condoled the demise of Ratan Thiyam, an eminent  theatre director and playwright.
The outfit, in a press release issued by its director of publicity and education Charairongba Thokchom, stated that Ratan Thiyam showcased Manipur's rich culture and art on global platforms.
Paying tribute to the theatre legend, the Front described him as a precious son of Manipur.
His demise is a significant loss for the State, leaving behind an irreparable void, it said.
Further stating that Ratan Thiyam was known for his dedication and seriousness in his work, the Front described him as a big-hearted person who preferred living a simple life.
It added that Ratan Thiyam was committed to highlighting the struggles of the poor and the challenges posed by economic inequality.
The Front also said that the theatre legend stood with the people during Manipur's times of crisis and worked alongside them without faltering.
Sharing the pain of the bereaved family, the outfit prayed for the departed soul.
