MOA conducts sports medicine camp

IMPHAL, Jul 25 : The Manipur Olympic Association (MOA) today conducted a “One Day Rehabilitation Camp” for athletes who suffered injuries earlier at the meeting hall of Manipur Olympic Bhavan, Khuman Lampak Sports Complex.
The programme meant for athletes in 8 sports disciplines viz-Cycling, Fencing, Gymnastics, Judo, Karate-Do, Taekwondo, Weightlifting, and Wushu, was opened in the presence of K Baruni, senior vice president MOA; Dr Loitongbam Sushil, representative of Sports Medicine Branch of Aditya Rani Clinic; GA Sanatomba Sharma, vice president MOA and Thangjam Kirankumar, Treasurer MOA as presidium members.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr L Sushil said that the camp was organised with an aim to facilitate speedy recovery of athletes who have been struggling with their performances and taking break due to injury.
He also stressed on the need of identifying and diagnosing types of injury and further proceeding with suitable treatment methods.
