12th Asian Junior Wushu C’ship After Devikarani, Yaichenba bags another silver

IMPHAL, Jul 28 : Manipur’s Laishram Yaichenba joined Konthoujam Devikarani in scoring a silver medal for India at the 12th Asian Junior Wushu Championships being underway at  Jiangyin, Wuxi City in China.
Laishram Yaichenba won the silver medal in the Group C boys’ Nanquan event. Yesterday, Devikarani won the silver medal in the Group C girls’ Taijiquan event.
Both Lanchenba and Devikarani train at Central Wushu Institute under experienced coaches of the institute.
Notably, international medallist from Manipur Leimapokpam Sanatombi is among the officials of the National team as a coach.
Yaichenba is the son of Laishram Chinglemba and Laishram Sonia of Liwa Oinam Leikai while Konthoujam Devikarani is the daughter of Konthoujam Deven and Konthoujam ongbi Bijeta of Wangkhei Ningthem Pukhri Mapal.
