Medilane Eye Care expands Optical chain to empower internally displaced youth

IMPHAL, Jul 28 : Medilane, a leading integrated healthcare provider of Manipur, has opened a new Optical branch at Moirangkhom, supported by the Startup Manipur Scheme for IDP Livelihoods under the Planning Department, Government of Manipur.
As per a release issued by Medilane, over 40 internally displaced youth have already been employed across various Medilane healthcare and optical branches.
The newly inaugurated Moirangkhom facility is a significant milestone in Medilane’s ongoing efforts to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities to those in need.
Many more IDPs will be given employment opportunities at Medilane in the coming months, as part of its continued commitment to rebuilding lives and fostering community resilience.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by dignitaries, including Dr RK Tombisana, Joint Director, Planning Department, Manipur; Prof Ch Ibohal Meitei, Director, Research and Development Cell, Manipur University; Dr N Shreth Chongtham, founder, Shreth Career Institute; RK Somio, advisor, Medilane; Ramananda Nongmeikapan, Registrar, Manipur Technical University; Roshnikumar Yambem, director, Globizs and advisor, Medilane.
