IMPHAL, Jul 28: The indefinite bandh called by the Foothill Naga Coordinating Committee (FNCC) against movement of Kukis in Naga areas has completed 10 days.
The FNCC called the indefinite bandh protesting against the proposed construction of the so-called Tiger/German road through Naga areas, poppy plantation and relocation of SoO camps in close proximity to Naga areas.
Large groups of bandh supporters came out and checked the movement of Kukis on different routes today.
The protesters reiterated that no Tiger/German should be constructed through Naga areas, no poppy plantation should be done in Naga areas and no SoO camps should be opened in close proximity to Naga areas.
They also expressed strong resentment against the Government’s stoic silence on the unlawful and aggressive activities of Kukis even after the bandh has completed 10 days.
