State players contribute 4 medals to National tally at Junior Asian Junior Championship

IMPHAL, Jul 29 : Manipur players continue to shine at the 12th Asian Junior Wushu Championships being underway at  Jiangyin, Wuxi City in China adding 4 medals to the National tally including a gold.
S Roshan bagged a gold medal in the 52 kg category youth’s Sanda competition to further raise India’s stature at the game after Konthoujam Devikarani settled for two silver medals, one apiece in Taijiquan and Taijijian and Laishram Yaichenba.
Other medallists for India include Aisha, who won a silver in the junior girls’ 60 kg sanda event; Ravichandra who won a silver medal in the junior boys’ 56 kg sanda event; Abhijit, who won a silver medal in the junior boys’ 60 kg sanda event; Bipul, who won a bronze medal in the junior boys’ 75 kg sanda event and Sweta, who won a bronze medal in the junior girls’ 48 kg sanda event.
Manipur’s L Pradip and L Sanatombi Chanu are among the National team officials as Taiji and Taolu coaches.
