DA Tengnoupal organises service delivery camp at Moreh
Moreh, Jul 31: The District Administration of Tengnoupal successfully organised a comprehensive Service Delivery Camp at the SDO Office, Moreh, aimed at providing essential Government services directly to the public.
The initiative witnessed the active participation of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Tengnoupal, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Moreh, SDOs, and all District Level Officers (DLOs) from various line departments.
During the camp, on-the-spot services were extended to citizens, including the issuance of health cards and certificates. Departments also distributed vital inputs such as seeds and fertilisers, plant saplings, and horticultural saplings. The Veterinary Department, led by Dr Julie, Deputy Director, conducted free rabies vaccinations for local animals.
Following the camp, an interaction meeting was held between local MLA Letpao Haokip and DLOs, attended by the DC Tengnoupal, SP Tengnoupal, ADC Moreh, SDOs, and SDCs of Tengnoupal District.
The MLA encouraged all departments to dedicate themselves to the district’s holistic development and lauded the ongoing efforts of the administration in ensuring service delivery under challenging circumstances.
During the meeting, the DC announced that starting next week, every Tuesday will be designated as Service Delivery Day, with all line departments operating from the District Headquarters to provide regular and essential public services.
A subsequent session was held with representatives of local Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) from various communities in Moreh. The forum addressed pressing public concerns, including water shortages, Aadhaar enrolment, rice distribution, compensation for ethnic clash victims, and other local grievances.
In a significant outreach effort, the DC, accompanied by the ADC, SDOs, SDCs, and CMO Tengnoupal, also visited Kwatha village, the only Meitei village in the hill area. The team engaged directly with residents to understand challenges related to livelihood, education, health, and medical access. Acknowledging their hardships, the DC pledged sustained support for the community and made a personal commitment.
“Kwatha is not just another village on our map; from today, I will look after it as if it were my own home. Every concern raised here will be taken up seriously with the relevant authorities, and we will work tirelessly to ensure sustainable livelihoods for its people,” said the Deputy Commissioner.
