Takhellambam Inunganbi clinches Amman Asian Open Judo gold

IMPHAL, Aug 20 : Takhellambam Inunganbi made the Nation proud by winning a gold medal at the Amman Asian Open 2025 which was held from August 18-19 in the capital city of Jordan.
2019 Commonwealth Games Bronze medallist Inunganbi won the gold medal in the women’s -70 kg category competition by defeating Egyptian rival Magdy Farida in the final. Inunganbi emerged Pool C winner earlier before defeating Tarabay Yara of Lebanon in the semi-final to book her place in the final.
Jordan’s Ahmad Rama and Alkhraisha Salsabeel were adjudged third in the same competition.
