PREPAK condoles
IMPHAL, Sep 9 : The proscribed People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) and its armed wing, the Red Army (RA), have condoled the passing of RA cadre Tongbram Borish alias Thangalakpa (19) due to an illness at the United Base Area 707 Mobile Battalion on September 6 at 7:30 pm.
In a statement issued by its Publicity Officer Mangal Khuman, PREPAK and RA conveyed the highest revolutionary salute to late Tongbram Borish.
Hailing from Thanga Moirangthem Leikai in Bishnupur district, Borish was born to Tongbram Bobby and Tongbram Ongbi Abem.
He joined the outfit driven by a conviction to serve the people and the creation of a progressive and egalitarian society by breaking the shackles of Indian occupation, said the statement.
After receiving basic military training in the 53rd batch of RA, he was assigned Army No 24085330 and was sworn in as an RA cadre.
The statement described Borish as a true patriot of Kangleipak, who followed the commands of his elders and was a hardworking and steadfast revolutionary.
Paying their highest tribute to Borish and mourning his untimely demise, PREPAK and RA have shared the grief of the bereaved family, relatives, friends and well-wishers.
