Chief Justice takes oath

IMPHAL, Sep 15 : Justice M Sundar was sworn in today as the tenth Chief Justice of the High Court of Manipur at a swearing-in ceremony held at the Darbar Hall of Raj Bhavan, Imphal.
He has officially assumed charge as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Manipur today.
Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla administered the oath of office, according to a press release issued by the Governor's Secretariat.
Justice M Sundar of Madras High Court was appointed as the Chief Justice of High Court of Manipur by the President of India on September 13, 2025, following the superannuation of the incumbent Justice Kempaiah Soma-shekar.
Assembly Speaker, MLAs, Judges of High Court of Manipur, Chief Secretary, Security Advisor, DGP, attended the swearing-in ceremony.
