Body found

IMPHAL, Sep 25 : A decomposed male corpse was discovered on the banks of the Imphal River at Telepati under Porompat Police Station in Imphal East today morning.
The unidentified body showed signs of advanced decomposition with maggots on the face and a portion of the face missing, according to police.
The deceased was approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and wore blue jeans and a white and dark blue checked shirt.
Authorities have announced that the body will be disposed of if no one claims it by 1 pm on September 30.
The corpse was discovered by the locals of Telepati.
Following an inquest, the body was taken for identification and post-mortem examination at JNIMS mortuary.
Porompat police have registered a case.
