UKHRUL, Sep 26 : The prize distribution ceremony of Gateway to Competitive Exams (GCE) was held today at TTA Smart Hall Hamleikhong, Hungpung in Ukhrul district recognizing the outstanding achievements of students in GCE Scholarship Test.
Thotchanla VS Zimik of St Stephen's College, New Delhi topped the graduate category while Ninglu M Solo of Motilal Nehru College, New Delhi and Kahoryui Awungshi of St Joseph's College, Ukhrul bagged the second and third position respectively.
A total of 173 students ranging from Class V to graduate level were awarded for excelling in the competitive test.
Mansak Hunphun Awungshi (Kendriya Vidyalaya School) and Mansak Penminao Ronra Awungshi (Ukhrul Higher Secondary School) topped the Class XII and XI category respectively.
The remaining top position holders are : Ngashim Vashum (Class X, Ukhrul Central School), Philara Ronra Shimray (Class IX, Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School), Eleos R Shimray (Class VIII, Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School), Mahorshon Chamroy (Class VII, Savio Higher Secondary School), Ayisho Calypso Mashangva (Class VI, Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School) and Jemimah Sharon (Class V, KTL Excel Higher Secondary School).
According to AS Peacemoon Zimik, Chairman of Career Pathfinder, the participants of the 3rd edition of GCE Scholarship 2025 were not only from Ukhrul and Kamjong district but from the best colleges of India including Delhi University's St Stephen's College, Kirori Mal College, Motilal Nehru College as well as St Edmund's College, Shillong and DMU.
Notable dignitaries present at the event included Asish Das, Deputy Commissioner, Ukhrul and Dinringam Kamei, SDO Ukhrul.
GCE is a special scholarship test organised by Career Pathfinder, Ukhrul with a plan to produce 1000 productive officers in 10 years.
