RIMS condemns

IMPHAL, Sep 27: The RIMS authority has strongly condemned the unfortunate incident that occurred at the Paediatric Emergency Unit, where the father of a patient allegedly misbehaved with the on-duty security personnel by physically holding his uniform collar while being guided to maintain queue discipline.
“Such aggressive behaviour not only disrupted the orderly service but also created a tense environment, risking escalation and insult to duty doctors”, said RIMS in a release.
The RIMS authority asserted that thanks to the restraint shown by the security staff and timely intervention of additional personnel, the situation was brought under control.
The RIMS authority further reiterated that any act of manhandling or misbehaviour against security staff or medical professionals on duty is a serious and punishable offence under law, and such actions will not be tolerated.
