HVA win 45th Junior Boys’ State Level Volleyball Championship title

IMPHAL, Sep 3 : HVA, Heigrujam sealed the title of the 45th Junior Boys’ State Level Volleyball Championship 2025 organised by the All Manipur Volleyball Association at NYVA ground, Naorem.
HVA, Heigrujam defeated title favourites AMIMYDO, Mayang Imphal by 3-1 sets in the keenly contested final match to emerge the winners of the 13-team tournament this afternoon.
HVA faltered in the opening set but resurged in the following sets to see out the game 21-25, 25-16, 25-20, 25-20 and deservingly lifted the title trophy.
Earlier yesterday, AMIMYDO made their way to the final with a straight sets (25-20, 32-20, 25-23) win over DVA, Thoubal in the first semi-final match before HVA outlasted NYVA, Naorem by 3-1 sets (29-27, 25-19, 21-25, 25-21).
The Mayang Imphal team had topped the league round of the 4-team group by defeating PRSC, Pourabi; UNT, Top Siphai and EAGLE, Ukhrul before edging out Group B runners up YPC, Ishok 22-25, 25-16, 25-18, 25-22 in the quarterfinals.
The champions team- HVA, meanwhile had sealed the Group C pole positions with two of two league stage wins  (against SLC, Maibam and MRC, Mairenkhong) before securing a straight sets win  (25-18, 25-20, 25-20) in the quarterfinals.
The champions, HVA, were also recognized for their individual brilliance, with H Heramani named best player, Vandam best defender, and Sh Chalamba best setter.
