KAPAAM DC, Ziontlang SYC triumph in DC Chandel Trophy Super Division League 2025

IMPHAL, Sep 3 : KAPAAM DC and Ziontlang SYC (ZSYC) secured their first win in today’s matches of the DC Chandel Trophy Super Division League 2025 being organised by the District Sports Association Chandel at Sports Complex, Chandel Christian.
In the fourth match of the 6-team tournament staged this afternoon, KAPAAM DC pulled off a 3-2 win against Lambung YCC (LYCC) despite Phowlpe’s second half brace.
KAPAAM DC, who had previously settled for a 1-1 draw against ZSYC, took the lead in the first half courtesy of Sorormi's 28th-minute strike.
Shedngam and Ringshangam further solidified their advantage, netting a goal apiece in the 52nd and 61st minutes, respectively, putting KAPAAM DC 3-0 up.
LYCC staged a spirited comeback in the second half, with Phowlpe scoring two goals in quick succession in the 78th and 83rd minutes. However, despite the late surge, LYCC couldn't sustain the momentum, and KAPAAM DC held firm to secure the win.
In the day's second match, ZSYC secured their first tournament win with a convincing 3-0 victory over Khongjon YC.
After a goalless first half, Jaishu broke the deadlock in the 49th minute. Roungam doubled the lead in the 80th minute, and Franklin sealed the win with a goal in the 90+1 minute, handing Khongjon YC a one-sided defeat.
