IMPHAL, Sep 3 : A Head Constable of the CRPF allegedly shot himself dead in Jiribam today.
The incident occurred at 4.30 pm today.
HC/GD Ravinder Kumar of D/20 Bn CRPF was performing the duty of Kote Commander. After a gunshot was heard, he was found lying in a pool of blood in the kote, said a complaint filed with the Borobekra police station.
CRPF personnel and police rushed the personnel to PHC Borobekra and later to the District Hospital Jiribam, where he was declared "brought dead".
Borobekra police have registered a case.
Ravinder Kumar was the son of  SH Rachhpal Chand of Chakra village, Jammu.
