Chandonpokpi YC reach DC Chandel Trophy 2nd Division Football Tourney quarters

IMPHAL, Sep 4 : Chandonpokpi YC have progressed into the quarterfinals of the ongoing DC Chandel Trophy 2nd Division Football Tournament with a 3-1 win over Modi CSC this morning at Sports Complex, Chandel Christian.
Modi CSC found the lead in the 39th minute through Arwinta but Jailin scored the equaliser for Chandonpokpi YC the very next minute before his compatriots Sanathoi (49’) and Sonam (76’) overturned the lead and sealed the 3-1 win.
With the win, Chandonpokpi YC set up a quarterfinal date with Mahamani YC on September 10. The match starts at 8 am. Penaching DC will play Liwa Sarei YC in the next pre-quarterfinal match tomorrow morning (from 8 am).
