IMPHAL, Sep 4 : The Thoubal District Kho-Kho Association (TDKKA) has said that 12 teams from the district have qualified to participate in the ensuing 1st District Olympic Games Kho Kho competition to be held from September 25 to 27.
The teams, 6 men and 6 women’s, were shortlisted based on their performances at the 1st Thoubal District Senior Kho-Kho Championship held from August 29 to 31 across three venues, said TDKKA in an order.
The teams who will be featuring in the first Thoubal District Olympic Games include SCEASDO-Heirok, Heirok Hr Sec- Heirok, BASU-Khangabok, SYA-Salungpham, CHMYDA-Sangaiyumpham and SENDYC- Salungpham in the men’s section; SCEASDO-Heirok BASU-Khangabok, SYA-Salungpham, SENDYC- Salungpham, PYDC-Khangabok, and SCEO-Khangabok in the women’s section.
The qualified teams should submit their player list, entry form, photostat copies of Aadhaar Card and eligibility certificate to M Manglem, secretary in-charge of TDKKA and H Koirreng, co-ordinator 1st Olympic Games Kho-Kho on or before September 8, TDKKA continued.
