Villager thrashed by KRA man

IMPHAL, Sep 5 : Tension gripped Saikul bazar after a member of "Kuki Village Volunteers" was allegedly beaten black and blue by town commander of Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA) this noon.
After the incident, all shops in the market shut doors due to fear of a possible confrontation between the KRA militants and "Kuki village volunteers", said a source.
The member of the "Kuki village volunteers" was beaten up by town commander Jampu Misao, added the source.
The situation in Saikul remains tense. Additional security forces have been deployed in the area to prevent any unwanted incidents, said the source.
