Man sentenced to community service

IMPHAL, Sep 8: Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal West has convicted a 37-year-old man for stealing a mobile this morning and sentenced him to carry out community service for a month at the office of the Public Prosecutor at Cheirap Court complex.
The convict, identified as Sashikant Malik, stole the mobile phone from a person at SSS hotel located at Thangal Bazar today. Sashikant Malik hails from Pandinipal village Odisha, and he was at present staying at Nagamapal.
In the Court of the CJM, Malik pleaded guilty.
