IMPHAL, Dec 31: Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba inaugurated Ema Emoinu Hall at Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple, Imphal today. To mark the occasion, the MP hoisted a Salai Taret flag.
Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board (LSTB) vice president Vidyapati Senjam alias Wakhal Lamjingba, MUC Vice Chancellor Prof Paonam Gunindro and many other eminent personalities attended the event.
During the event, Leishemba Sanajaoba welcomed and presented gifts to several "guests" from the USA and Australia.
Leishemba Sanajaoba lauded members of the Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board for their contributions in promoting Sanamahism.
As a Member of the Parliament, Leishemba said he is taking up efforts for the Government to promote and recognise Sanamahi as a religion in the upcoming census.
He wished for the Ema Emoinu Eratpa occasion to bring prosperity to the people.
