Volleyball tournament on Amur Falcon Conservation theme held

IMPHAL, Jan 9 : Guangram Youth Club yesterday organised a volleyball tournament to raise awareness on the need of Amur Falcon conservation under the initiative of DFO Tamenglong, Kharibam Hitler.
The tournament marked the successful migration of three satellite tagged Amur Falcons- Apapang, Ahu and Alang that were released from Chiuluan Roosting site on November 8 last.
The birds, except Ahu, are alive and as on January 1, Apapang was in Zimbabwe and Alang was in Botswana.
The event was organised as a part of Tamenglong Forest Division’s relentless effort to propagate the love and compassion to protect and conserve both residential and migratory species of wildlife in the biodiversity rich Tamenglong district.
