IBSA thrash UYPA 4-1 in IW 3rd Divn Football League

IMPHAL, Jan 9 : IBSA, Yumnam Leikai recorded a 4-1 win over UYPA, Kha Jiri in the 21st match of the ongoing 7th Sh Mani Sharma Memorial 3rd Division Football League organised by the Imphal West District Football Association at PAMYAL ground, Patsoi Part II.
IBSA and UYPA were evenly poised in the beginning and entered into the break with the score level at 1-1. But IBSA surged ahead in the second half and banged home three more goals to register their second win in five matches of the 7-team league tournament.
W Akram hit the target early in the 11th minute to give IBSA the lead only to be equalised in the 37th minute by Rocky for UYPA.
Albash Khan retained the lead for IBSA four minutes into the second half (44’) before L Arbin further extended the lead to 3-1 in a span of three minutes.
N Irabot then hit the final nail to the coffin in the 68th minute.
