3rd Premier League 2025-26 United Chandel FC, Sagolband United make top four finish

IMPHAL, Jan 9 : United Chandel FC played out a goalless draw with ASUFII FA to finish third in the 3rd Premier League 2025-26 as Sagolband United (SU) beat Athletic Brother’s Association (ABA), Kshetrigao 1-0 to finish fourth.
In the penultimate league match of the 15-team tournament, SU rode on Ganningam Malangmei’s 58th minute strike to seal their 8th victory in 14 matches at SSC ground, Sekta.
With the win, Sagolband United finished fourth on 24 points behind league winners SSU, Singjamei (35 points off 11 wins and 2 draws); runners up AIM, Khabam (32 points off 10 wins and 2 draws); and UCFC, Chandel (27 points off 8 wins and 3 draws) who played out a draw later in the final league match with ASUFII FA.
ABA meanwhile slipped to fifth place on 23 points off 7 wins and 2 draws.
Angtha FC finished at the rock bottom as they ended their campaign winless and one 1 point off a draw with IYFC.
