By defeating Nicaragua by the margin of 2-0, Haiti has guaranteed its first World Cup qualification since 1974 - - just the second time in the country's history!
The brilliant success of Haiti, after more than half a century, has attained greater significance as the footballers have achieved the "unachievable" despite the country plagued by supreme lawlessness, violence by the non-State actors, acute hunger, homelessness, kidnap in broad daylight and killings (more than 4000 already killed between January to September).
