U Chaitanya takes charge as DC Kakching

Kakching, Jan 12 (DIO-IPR): Uppuluri Chaitanya, an IAS officer of the 2022 batch of the Manipur cadre, assumed charge as the Deputy Commissioner of Kakching District today.
In a farewell function held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Uppuluri Chaitanya took the charge from the outgoing Deputy Commissioner Rohit Anand.
Speaking to all the officers, the outgoing Deputy Commissioner Rohit Anand thanked the entire Government officials along with the police and the para-military forces for supporting him during his tenure since March 5, 2024. Appreciating all the officers for their cooperation in executing work for the benefit of the district, he urged them to give the same cooperation to the new Deputy Commissioner.
Meanwhile, the new Deputy Commissioner Uppuluri Chaitanya sought cooperation from the officers to work as a team for the overall development of the district.
It may be mentioned that prior to this posting, he served as the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) - Waikhong.
The function was attended by Superintendent of Police Priyadarshini Laishram, Additional Deputy Commissioner P Shantikumar Singh (MCS), along with the Additional SP, SDO, AC to DC, District Level Officers, staff and officials of the Deputy Commissioner Office among others.
