39th Men’s State Level Polo Tournament MPSC-B, AR Polo Team-A complete semi-final line up

IMPHAL, Jan 17 : MPSC-B edge out Black Watch PC 7-6 as AR Polo Team-A saw off Chingkheihunba PC by 4-2 goals to complete the semi-final line up of the 39th Men’s State Level Polo Tournament 2025-26 being organised by the All Manipur Polo Association.
In the third quarterfinal match of the tournament, MPSC-B had a promising start and led the first chukker 3-0 but Black Watch PC-A fought back to make it 5-5 at the end of the third chukker before MPSC added two more goals in the closing chukker to seal the 7-6 win.
 H Abung Khuman struck four goals alone for MPSC-B including one in the first chukker that also saw T Pradeepkumar and T Roshan adding one goal apiece.
Abung added his second in the second chukker to make it 4-2 as Kh Yaikhomba and Th Nongpoknganba scored one goal apiece for Black Watch PC-A.
Abung had his third in the third chukker that saw M Chaoba scoring thrice for Black Watch PC-A to make the score levelled at 5-5.
Abung scored his fourth three minutes into the final chukker to retain the lead for MPSC-B but Chaoba came to the rescue of Black Watch PC-A by scoring the equaliser in the fifth minute. The parity was however broken in the 6th minute as T Roshan scored his second and the decisive goal for MPSC-B.
Later in the fourth quarterfinal match, Kh Shusilo scored thrice and Kh Chandrakumar added one to earn AR Polo Team-A a 4-2 win over Chingkheihunba Polo Club.
Shusilo made it 1-1 in the opening chukker after Th Kaoba broke the deadlock in the first minute and added two more goals in the second chukker to make it 3-1 by the second chukker.
Leishemba pulled one goal back for Chingkheihunba PC in the opening minute of the third chukker but Kh Chandrakumar retained the two goal advantage for AR Polo Team-A in the 7th minute.
The two sides drew nil in the fourth chukker and eventually the AR Polo Team-A walked home as 4-2 winners and set up the first semi-final date with MPSC-B on January 19.
