10 teams in fray for 16th Senior Women’s Football league title

IMPHAL, Jan 19 : 10 strong teams will be vying for top honours of the upcoming 16th Senior Women’s Football League 2025-26.
The tournament beginning on January 28 at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thong under the aegis of the All Manipur Football Association is sponsored by 165 Infantry Bn Territorial Army (Home and Hearth).
The teams are drawn into two groups and the top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals before the final showdown.
KRYPHSA, Naoremthong; UPSA, Pukhao; Khuman FC, Laipham Khunou; MPSC, Police HQs; and MUFA, Tera are clustered in Group A while ICSA, Irengbam; WYC-Th, Thambalkhong; YWC-L, Langthabal; ESU, Palace Compound; and FC Imphal, Kwakeithel are drawn in Group B.
The opening day will see YWC-Thambalkhong take on FC Imphal from 9 am in the first match before YWC-L play ESU in the second match from 2 pm.
