MU announces Sepak-Takraw teams

IMPHAL, Jan 20 : The Department of Sports, Manipur University has announced the university Sepak-Takraw teams for the upcoming All India Inter University Tournaments to be hosted by Assam University, Silchar.
The athletes who made it to the women’s team include K Poni of N Birahari College, Kh Gaitri of Kumbi College, H Victoria of TSPM Women’s College, M Linthoingambi of N Birahari College, Ch Chaoba of TSPM Women’s College, P Allena of Liberal College; N Rina of Kakching Khunou College, Thokchom Athoibi of N Birahari College and Ngasepam Rushika of Manipur University.
The women’s tournament is due to be held from March 6 to 9 at the said venue.
The men’s team meanwhile include Th Dhruba of Regional College, Sh Bruce of YK College, M Sagar of Pole Star College, S Boynao of Pole Star College, Ksh Inaocha of Pole Star College, Ph Monish of Regional College, O Harshkumar of Biramangol College, S Aadarsh of Biramangol College, L Action of Standard College, L Ajayram of N Birahari College, E Arunkumar of Pole Star College, Sanasam Galaxy of Regional College, and Ng Saimon of Regional College.
The men’s tournament is scheduled to be held from March 11 to 14.
The selected players were also instructed to report to the office of the Assistant Director of Sports, MU by 11 am on January 28.
