18th Manipur State League Utlou FC romp 5-0 past Elite FA as MPSC thump NEROCA FC 2-0

IMPHAL, Jan 20 : Utlou FC trounced Elite FA 5-0 as MPSC thumped NEROCA FC 2-0 and PATHAP beat SFC 1-0 in today’s Group C matches of the 18th Manipur State League.
In the first match of the day staged at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong MPSC sealed their second win in three matches thanks to goals coming from Sankhil Japhet Lamkang (12’) and Oinam Roshan (79’).
In the second match, Utlou FC, who lost their opening game and played out a goalless draw with NEROCA FC in the previous match,  found the lead early in the 6th minute before Elite FA’s Thokchom Benson conceded an own goal to make it 2-0.
Khomdram Johnson scored just one minute after the restart (46’) to further extend the lead to 3-0 for Utlou FC before substitute Laishram Kangleinganba joined the fray and made it 4-0 after 84 minutes.  Nameirakpam Ajit then slammed home the final goal 1 minute into the stoppage time.
In the third match, Pathap FC beat SFC 1-0 to end their two game losing streak and snap SFC’s two-game winning streak.
The lone goal that settled the issue was scored late in the stoppage time by Md Taj Ahamed (90+1’).
