XI TNZL Sports Somdal overwhelm Teinem 3-0 to win men’s football title

IMPHAL, Dec 21 : Somdal prevailed 3-0 over Teinem to deservingly lift the men’s football title of the XI Tangkhul Naga Zingtun Longphang (TNZL) Sports, Literary and Cultural Festival hosted by Phalee village in Ukhrul district.
The 15-team tournament culminate with Kangam Ruivah (14’), Chikanmi Ruivah (51’), and Kuivao Ruivah (66’) scoring to guide Somdal 3-0 past Teinem in a one sided final encounter that was witness by around 5000 spectators from  Phalee village, finallists and neighbouring villages.
Somdal’s Hormipam Ruivah emerged top scorer of the tournament with 3 goals to his name and was also named man of the tournament while his compatriots Phaningam Muivah  and Phami Ruivah were adjudged best goalkeeper and best defender respectively.
Mashungpei Vashi of Teinem was meanwhile declared as the emerging player.
