16 teams in fray for 16th Saheed Manoranjan Singh Memorial CRPF Football Tournament

IMPHAL, Jan 28 : 16 teams will vie for top honours in the 16th Saheed Manoranjan Singh Memorial CRPF Football Tournament 2025-26 beginning on February 6 at SAI Sports Complex in Takyel.
The tournament is due to be organised by the 86 Bn CRPF, Lamphel under the aegis of Central Reserve Police Force Manipur and Nagaland Sector in collaboration with the All Manipur Football Association.
The formal fixture draw was held today at the Recreation Hall of the 86 Bn CRPF, Lamphel in the presence of Arjuna Awardee and Commandant of GC CRPF, Langjing Nameirakpam Kunjarani, AMFA officials and team managers.
The tournament to be organised in the knock-out format will feature 16 teams clustered into two brackets.
TRAU FC, Kwakeithel; PATHAP FC, Lilong; JUVENILE FC Tera; NESU FC, Porompat; FC RAENGDAI, Noney; MIUFC, Mayang Imphal; SJC, Salam and ESU, Wangkei are drawn in first bracket while SU, Tera Bazar;  MILAN FA, Keibi; RFCC, Keinou; SSU, Singjamei; TRUGPU, Nambol; AIM Club, Khabam; NMFA Salam and UFC, Utlou in the other bracket.
Speaking at the occasion, legendary Indian weightlifter and Comdt N Kunjari highlighted that the Saheed Manoranjan Singh Memorial CRPF Football Tournament is the biggest CRPF-organised football event in the State.
Underscoring the role of players in restoring peace in the State, she also called upon all to support the tournament.
The tournament will conclude on February 26.
