CPI mourns demise of Irom Achoubi

Nambol, Jan 29: The Communist Party of India (CPI), Konthoujam Local Council, has expressed deep sorrow over the untimely demise of its veteran woman comrade, Irom Achoubi (82) of Khabi Awang.
In a statement, the CPI Konthoujam Local Council said that the late Irom Achoubi was a committed social activist who consistently fought for social equality and worked to rectify the imbalance in society, particularly in advocating for women rights.
Upon receiving the news of her demise, leaders of the CPI Konthoujam Local Council, including Okram Ibotombi, former secretary Dr Khomdram Thoiba, Khabi Branch secretary Kh Debeshwor, and leaders of Nupi Marup, visited her residence.
