One found dead

IMPHAL, Jan 4 : An unidentified man, believed to be between 30 and 40 years old, was found dead at Khongjom Sangaikhong along National Highway 102, today.
According to the police, the man was approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, with an average build and an elongated face, coupled with wheatish complexion and short black hair.
He was wearing a camouflage jacket, a green t-shirt, black track pants, and black sports shoes.
It is reported that the person was quickly taken to Thoubal District Hospital, but the doctor declared him dead on arrival.
During an examination of the body, one tobacco product (khaini), one syringe and a small quantity of substance suspected to be heroin were found.
It is further reported that several needle marks were found on his right hand.
A case has been registered at Khongjom police station, and the body has been deposited at JNIMS mortuary.
